NEC XN120 : 

The XN120 is the latest hybrid IP communications system from NEC, allowing you to start small and expand your phone system when your business requires it.

The XN120 is designed to satisfy the growing needs of the small medium business. It is a professional, flexible and easy to use voice communication system at a price that makes perfect sense.

The NEC XN120 will connect up to the public phone network, whether it be traditional such as analogue or ISDN lines, or leading edge such as IP.

This hybrid communications system has a flexible design that provides support for any type of phone device, including modems, answering machines, and wireless DECT phones.

The basic system is initially equipped for three analogue exchange lines and eight extensions. With the simple addition of cards, it can provide capacity for 9 analogue lines (or up to 18 ISDN channels) and 24 extensions. When your business grows even larger...you can add expansion cabinets to grow to a maximum of 72 extensions and 27 lines. XN120 can provide caller line identity (CLI) to traditional corded, cordless or system-phones, you can even connect DECT cordless phones (Siemens gigaset) and get the incoming callers name, or telephone number displayed before you answer the call. CLI is a standard feature so no extra cards or equipment is required. XN120 has a built in call director the system can distribute calls evenly to assigned staff or in a priority order. If one group member is busy, the call forwards to the next group member. If all extensions are busy you can queue incoming callers and if you have the integrated voicemail card (option) you can play holding messages.

In addition, it is capable of supporting the latest technology; such as CTI, VoIP, IP Telephony, and WLAN

 

Efficient, flexible and manageable

The NEC XN120 has features seldom found on small business systems.  For example, it is one of the very few systems that can provide caller line identity (CLI) to traditional corded, cordless or system-phones.  This means that you can even connect traditional DECT cordless phones and still get the incoming callers name, or telephone number displayed before you answer the call.  CLI is a standard feature so no extra cards or equipment is required.

The system can distribute calls evenly to assigned staff or in a priority order.  If one group member is busy, the call forwards to the next group member.  If all extensions are busy  you can queue incoming callers and if you have the integrated voicemail card you can play holding messages.

Scalability - Build on your investment

Start small and expand your system when you want.  Unlike most competitive systems,  the XN120 does not force you to throw away your existing main cabinets when your business expands.  Just add XN120 expansion cabinets and expand all the way up to 72 extensions and 27 lines.

 

The XN Vision  22-button display handset includes 12 buttons for  busy lamp field (BLF), phone lines and features, 360 degree call indicator, dual-colour LED line button indicating call status at a glance, 10 personal speed dial buttons, height adjustment, Full handsfree operation and it's wall mountable.


The XN Talk 22-button standard handset  includes 12 buttons for  busy lamp field (BLF), phone lines and features, 360 degree call indicator, dual-colour LED line button indicating call status at a glance, 10 personal speed dial buttons, height adjustment, handsfree loud speech,  and it's wall mountable.



The XN 24-button DSS Console provides 24 addition function/number/busy lamp field (BLF) buttons for the XTN handsets.  Dual Colour LED button indicate call status.  This item is connected directly to an XN Vision telephone.

 


The XN 64 button DSS Console is designed for the operator or receptionist.  It provides 64 function/number/busy lamp field (BLF) buttons.  External/internal paging zones buttons, alternate answer call button, 2 door phone buttons, day/night mode buttons.  This item must be connected to one of the analogue extension ports.

 


The XN 120 Door Phone is designed to work with the door / paging card (P/N 27254 £40.00) which provides for connection of two door phones as well as two relay connects for opening a suitable door lock.  When your visitor presses the button on the door-phone it will ring any extension, or group of extensions.  The person answering the call can speak to the visitor and if all is well dial a pre-set code to close the relay contacts and (if connected) release your door lock.


Optional Voicemail / Auto Attendant / Queue Announcements

The integrated Voicemail / Auto Attendant Card has eight ports for voice mail and 16 channels for queue announcements.  This means that it can handle very heavy traffic.  The unit allows up to 48 recordable queue announcements, DISA greetings and Park and Page. It also has call forward announcements and fixed user guidance messages.  It's a powerful package but remember...it's an option.  If you wish you can connect a standard answering machine as easy as you can connect a telephone.
